If you’re interested in writing about local government, arts, culture, businesses, history, sports, food and more, and want to make an impact on the community, sign up for our next “Citizen Journalism 101” course!
The 101 course covers journalistic writing and practice, source development, and looks into the value of reporting in our modern media environment. There are also special classes on all aspects of multimedia journalism offered periodically throughout the year..
By joining our Neighborhood View team, you will get the support of fellow citizen journalists and our editorial staff. Editorial meetings are held weekly – Wednesdays at 5:30pm – to go over story ideas and review stories in progress. We also invite members of the community to take part – (all are welcome!) – to discuss what’s going on in Malden. We recognize that each community member brings their own perspective, experience and stories to our initiative.
