Fresh Truck, a re-purposed school bus that carries fresh and affordable fruits, vegetables, whole grain products and more, made a pit stop at the Malden YMCA on Thursday, Jan. 14.
Christina Murphy, the Mass in Motion Coordinator for the City of Malden, negotiated the pop up and the team behind the mobile market, including CEO Josh Trautwein, rolled into Malden from 3 to 5 p.m. last week.
Elizabeth Scorsello, a reporter with MATV’s Neighborhood View and photographer for the citizen journalism site, said the converted bus was packed. “It was so cold,” Scorsello explained. “But it was impressive how many people showed up to the market.”

Fabulous! I will be there next week! I am assuming that this is every Thursday?
I love the reusable bags! Great price on Honey Crisps!
Hi Karen, I think it’s a one-time-only thing. However, based on the response in Malden, I bet Fresh Truck will return soon.
